Youth Hostels in Rome

Till a few days ago the youngs tha wanted choose Rome for their holidays were almost obliged to sleep in the youth hostels in Rome, with low rates, but with no comforts and often without availability during the high season; this kind of choice, oftren, had an ideological basis, and nowadays survives this kind of lodging and it's usual to see long lines of youngs in front of the hostel in Foro Italico, with heavy rucksacks and a lot of young enthusiasm. This kind of lodging, with low prices, is destined only to young people; in fact the youth hostels in Rome are famous for the discomfort (you sleep in rooms with many other people, and tha bathroom often are not very clean) and the overcrowded rooms. With the increasing of the bed and breakfasts in Rome, the usefulness if the hostels is decreased, beacuse it is decreased the difference of prices with the hotels and are increased the comforts offered by the B&B. All these aspects, joined to a general change of the way of travelling of the young people, have weakened the position of the hostels among the boys if all the world.
